EstoyArt will amplify the voices of Central and Latin American asylum seekers through Art

"We must keep sharing stories and lifting up voices, so we never forget that within the heart of every crisis are individuals with hopes,

dreams and aspirations."

Our Story

Acclaimed Hispanic artists, with immigration stories of their own, will create a curriculum for a 1 week workshop at select refugee shelters throughout the United States.  Initially a team of artists and educators will work at or near the shelters.  Eventually we will equip a mobile classroom - the Estoy Bus - to go from shelter to shelter.  Every participant will contribute their personal art and prose to a branded collection called Art on the Run.  EstoyArt will exhibit the works in partnership with art galleries and museums. In this way, we will document this chapter of American immigration history through unforgettable art, words and stories of Spanish speaking asylum seekers.

We have partnered with Bishop & Valderas LLC and Brandy González and are prepared to produce our pilot workshop.  This team of artists and educators, based in San Antonio, Texas, has a proven track record that aligns with the EstoyArt mission.
